What Remains

Over
Having lived in Spain, Belgium and Japan, my art practice explores the scarse perceptual memory that remains but i yet carry everywhere.
Project
What Remains is an immersive installation that translates video footage my travels nack to Japan, where I used to live a couple of years ago. This immersive installation that translates video footage of Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan, its streets, forests and temples into animated point clouds that render my stratified perception of these spaces. Using depth map technology, each frame is reconstructed as fragmented three-dimensional eroded memory. The viewer can therefore navigate dissolving landscapes, where absence become the language of recollection. After Robert Smithson's notion that mind and earth are in a constant state of erosion.
