About
Asena Çakmak is a multidisciplinary designer and visual artist currently specializing in Visual Arts (Digital Context) at Sint Lucas Antwerpen. Her practice bridges the gap between technology, interface design, and experimental media. Guided by research-led storytelling, she creates interactive digital experiences that critically investigate structures of authority, human behavior, and contemporary power dynamics.
Project
“Too Many Gods” explores authority and defiance through the micro-tyrannies of modern human relationships rather than Satan’s rebellion. The work critiques humanity’s tendency to idolize itself and demand obedience. It argues that authority survives only through belief and questions whether the world can endure the weight of so many self-proclaimed gods.
