Nicolas Corbett is a freelance graphic designer and micro-publisher under the alias Rasterwerk Publications; from time to time, he ventures into the realm of the visual arts, particularly when it comes to the spatiality and spontaneous cultural fabric of his city. In his practice, he focuses his process and/or execution on materiality, physical print and the translation of unique, overlooked stories, with a strong emphasis on typography and publication.
Project
Het Beeldend kunstwerk “Vaarwel Koekestad” schetst het beeld van een stad in overgang, één in overgang van creatieve vrije stad naar bedevaartsoord voor projectontwikkelaars. Het zo’n 1200mm op 1800mm grote werk bevat 30 even grote lagen aan reflectie rondom de problematiek, grafisch uitgewerkt, waaronder de kunstenaars volledige archief, vrijwerk, ecoland-aandeel, gesprekken. Maar ook aan deze Openbaar Onderzochte Afwijking van de Mileuvoorwaarden komt voorlopig weer een eind...
