About
Nick Horemans studied Business Economics: Business Administration, followed by a degree in Visual Arts: Communication Design. He is now a financial advisor in training with a strong interest in storytelling, digital culture, and the way young people experience financial reality today. He explores how money, status, FOMO, and platform culture shape not only Gen Z's knowledge, but also behavior and identity. With Finance Man & Vera, he develops a universe that translates this complex lived reality into relatable, humorous, and educational stories. His practice is situated at the intersection of finance, communication, and social relevance, with particular attention to how entertainment can also become a form of insight and reflection.
Project
Finance Man & Vera is a universe that translates the complex financial and cultural lifeworld of young people into a recognizable, humorous, and critical world full of characters, tensions, and social pressure. It begins from the observation that banks, schools, or parents are not speaking the right language. As a result, Gen Z goes to where they feel understood: smartphones, social media, feeds, short-form videos, and other platforms that shape what feels attractive, normal, and worth pursuing. In that environment, money, status, FOMO, ambition, and identity are constantly intertwined.
Within this universe, these themes are not presented as dry explanations or moralizing lessons, but as a living and entertaining experience. Through storytelling, humor, character dynamics, and a distinct visual language, Finance Man & Vera reveals how financial behavior is often entangled with social pressure, online performativity, and the awkward process of growing up. The project uses recognizable situations, exaggeration, and critical distance to make complex realities discussable without flattening their complexity.
