My work begins with the colour blue as a carrier of memory and time. I explore how blue can become a marker of temporal distance, of what has passed, yet still remains tangible and felt. Within my practice, I move between jewellery design, poetry, and graphic work, engaging with themes of longing, remembrance, and holding on.
Writing forms a recurring thread throughout my process: a way of gathering thoughts, images, and emotions, of slowing them down and approaching them again. From these texts emerge objects, colours, and forms that attempt to hold onto what is slowly fading.
Project
Blue arrives quietly, lingering long after the moment has passed, a lingering within ourselves. In the presence of blue, we remember things we thought had been forgotten. Blue follows you silently, soundlessly, until you run into it and it brings you to a standstill.
The reason I return to blue again and again is not to retrieve something, but to remain within that lingering for a little while longer.
